Madelyn Camacho McClammy, Ways and Means, WOWC

Born and raised in Washington Heights, Madelyn and her husband moved to West Orange over eighteen years ago. Since the birth of their two teenage children, Madelyn has contributed to the West Orange community in different ways. She served as President of the Parent Board at Playhouse Nursery School in town as well as Vice-President of Cultural Arts at St. Cloud Elementary School. Currently, Madelyn serves as a trustee on the board of the Downtown West Orange Alliance and has been a part of their Design Committee since before that appointment.

Madelyn discovered the West Orange Women’s Club randomly one evening while scrolling through Facebook. To her delight, she saw that two friends were starting up the organization. Madelyn went to the very next meeting and happily accepted the appointment of Membership Chair. She served as Membership Chair for two years before being elected Ways and Means Chair in 2022. Madelyn’s favorite part of her time with the Women’s Club has been making personal and lasting connections with fellow women in town.

Madelyn’s goal as Ways and Means Chair is not only to raise the funds needed to help our neighbors in need, but to do so while building community. Whether it be highlighting our amazing neighbors during the Light Up West Orange event to creating a bonding experience with family over decorating Valentine’s Day cookies, Madelyn wants to make sure that as many fundraising events as possible bring us closer together as a community so that we can further our collective goals.

Outside of the Women’s Club, Madelyn’s interests include traveling, enjoying performances of all types, and hosting get-togethers.

Madelyn received her undergraduate degree from New York University and her juris doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law. If you have questions about Fundraising or Ways and Means, you can email Madelyn at: wowclubwaysmeans@gmail.com
